General Information
Allow yourselves to relax and unwind at Birds Ferry Lodge. Along with the native birdlife, you will enjoy an exceptionally tranquil spot with panoramic views of Paparoa Mountains, Tasman Sea and native forest.
Privately accessed ensuite guest accommodation bath and shower. Tariff includes refreshments, laundry service, internet and cooked breakfast. Purpose-built disabled/wheelchair access.
Dinner is available by arrangement. Our own home-produced vegetables and free-range eggs are used wherever possible. Alison and André are keen gardeners. House bar, with New Zealand wines.
Historic Buller has a multitude of activities, accessible areas of dense, luxuriant forest, rich bird-life and a wild coastline – something for everyone.
On arrival, many guests ask to extend their visit to more than one night. Why? On arrival you will discover the answer to this. Nearby coastal and forest walks. 5 Minutes away, visit an exhibition gold mine. 10 minutes away take the Charleston Nile River Forest Train. 30 minutes away is Punakaiki.
A day trip distance north of us you can visit Heaphy Track, Karamea, Oparara Arches and historic Denniston.
