Explorer Motor Lodge offers 17 self-contained deluxe apartments right in the centre of Te Anau and within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants and the shore of Lake Te Anau.
Our facilities are first class and the lodge is set in a quiet garden setting among the world class scenery of Fiordland National Park.
Te Anau is one of few places in the world that offer such unique surroundings. With clear lakes and rugged mountain views this World Heritage Area is New Zealand's most spectacular region.
Te Anau is the hub of Fiordland National Park and is the gateway to Milford and Doubtful Sound.
Known as the 'walking capital of the world', Te Anau is close to the great southern walking tracks - the Milford, Kepler and Hollyford tracks.
Explorer Motor Lodge is the ideal base for all your activities in Fiordland.
We can also provide bookings for many tours and trips in the Fiordland region! This service is provided at no extra cost, and is available at the front desk.
Explorer Motor Lodge offer 17 spacious units with the choice of studios or family apartments.
All units are fully self contained:
2x Studio units - 1 Queen-sized bed.
6x Studio units - 1 Queen-sized bed, and 1 single.
2x Studio units - 1 Queen-sized bed, and 2 single.
2x One Bedroom units - 1 Queen-sized bed, 2 singles.
1x One Bedroom units - 1 Queen-sized bed, 3 singles.
1x One Bedroom unit - 1 Queen-sized bed, 4 singles.
1x One Bedroom unit - 1 Queen-sized bed, 4 singles, and bath.
2x Two Bedroom units - 1 Queen-sized bed, 4 singles, and spa bath.
All units are serviced daily. A continental breakfast can be provided if necessary.
