General Information
Our Guesthouse accommodation offers two rooms with private facilities and eight rooms with shared facilities. There are handbasins and telephones in all rooms. The Sahara Guesthouse is proud to be a member of New Zealand's Federation of Bed & Breakfast Hotels Inc.
A buffet style continental and cooked breakfast is included in the tariff, as are tea, coffee and biscuits. We have a television lounge with Sky TV and a small library of books, as well as a laundry for our guests.
The Motel accommodation offers 10 self contained Units with full kitchens, a television and telephone. A laundry is available for Motel guests and your vehicle can be parked well off the street. A Buffet style continental and cooked breakfast is available on request. We are also proud to be a member of the Motel Association of New Zealand.
Our location at 619 George Street is within easy walking distance of Otago Museum, the main shopping centre, Botanic gardens, the University of Otago and Hospital, as well as numerous other attractions. For your convenience there is ample off street parking and a bus stop close by.
