Welcome to Kulnine Homestead, ideally located between the awarding winning Marlborough Vineyards and the highly acclaimed Whale watching in Kaikoura.
Kulnine is a large elegantly furnished homestead originally built in 1868 that has been sympathetically renovated to provide the highest standards and comforts you would expect from any luxury accommodation.
Set on eight acres of established, park like gardens the homestead is nestled in the Kekerengu Valley and cradled beneath the inner Kaikoura Mountains creating a unique and tranquil setting.
There are two double bedrooms available, all with their own bathroom facilities. Only the highest quality linen and furnishings have been used together with the award winning Les Floralies Seascape range of toiletries.
Kulnine Cottage is set adjacent to the Homestead set in the Olive Grove and over looking the pacific ocean.
The cottage sleeps 4 people and is fully self contained. Enjoy river and beach walks, a perfect setting to experience rural and country scenes, or just escaping the city.
In addition Kulnine Cottage visitors have access to all the luxuries of the Homestead: tennis court, swimming pool, croquet.
The Kekerengu Valley provides an abundant variety of cuisine ready for you to enjoy while relaxing at Kulnine.
Each morning Helen & John will provide a wonderful homestead style cooked breakfast either on the veranda overlooking the garden or in the warm ambience of the dinning room.
With restaurant backgrounds of over 25 years Helen & John are hosts extraordinaire. In the early evening prior to dinner they welcome a catch-up on the days activities over a complementary glass of local wine accompanied by a small delicacy that John has created from his vast 30 years experience as an international chef.

Location Description
Kaikoura, New Zealand is a famous tourism destination for visitors from
all over the world. The stunning coastline is on the rugged east coast of
New Zealands South Island and is overlooked by the majestic snow capped Southern Alps. A renowned eco-tourism hot spot Kaikoura is famous for it's whale watching and 'swimming with the dolphins' but Kaikoura offers that and much more.
Other adventure activites shark cage diving, and seal swimming, bird watching and wildlife, scuba diving, snorkeling, sea kayaklng, surfing, walking, white water rafting, four wheel driving, flying, fishing, skiing, and snow boarding.
The unique meeting of a magnificent coastline and scenic alpine splendour means Kaikoura offers natural wonders few places in the world could compete with.
The Kaikoura township is located on a rocky peninsula, protruding from lush farmland beneath the mountains. In the waters off this peninsula, a complex marine system provides an abundantly rich habitat for marine mammals and seabirds making it an ideal place for getting 'close to nature'.
