General Information
Wanganui is a wonderful place, full of activities and things to do. The Sarjeant Gallery, Waimarie paddlesteamer, parks, fishing, sport, and entertainment it's all here. It's so central. Wanganui stands out as a great place to visit and a good place to base yourself for excursions like exploring the Whanganui River, visiting Mt Taranaki and New Plymouth, Wellington, and the Kapiti Coast.
With winter here and snow in abundance keep in mind that Wanganui is just over an hour from Tongariro National Park and the Ski-fields on Mount Ruapehu.
You really need to be here.
Why not stay with us when you are in Wanganui. We have all you will need, we are friendly, helpful and not at all expensive.
All units have cooking facilities, shower, electric blankets, phone, Sky Digital TV, inhouse video, heating. Also available are a laundry, private spa, childrens play area, Cot/highchair. Cooked/continental breakfast are also available, meals by special arrangement.
As well as the standard room facilities described in the section on Motels (Sky TV, Kitchen, Bathroom, Lounge etc);
We have a nice hot spa which all guests are able to use on request, we will provide towels for the spa and you can lock the door.
We have ample parking at the front of the motel for all vehicles.
We have a playground for children which includes a playhouse, trampoline and swings.
We can do your washing for you, or you can use our machines for a nominal fee.
Various items are available for use from the office free of charge such as a hair dryer, sandwich maker, iron, and coffee plunger; just ask.
We also do meals on request.

We are the closest motel to the airport and to Putiki Marae. Restaurant & bar 800m; racecourse, hospital, Cooks Gardens & Waimarie riverboat all within 1.5km; sports stadium 2km; Wembly Park 2.5km. Walking is easy in Wanganui and getting around by car, expect no delays.
We have a large sundeck outside all units, with views of the Whanganui River. The spa is nice and hot, great for those cool nights or relaxing tired muscles.
