General Information
Totaranui is set on 26 acres of native bush on the edge of the Kohinui Valley, overlooking the vulcanic mountains of Whangarei Heads and Whangarei Harbour (fiord) - as well as the Pacific Ocean.
The most used words in our guest book are 'tranquil', 'Paradise' - and 'GREAT FOOD'.
We have 2 double rooms with ensuites and private entrances - and small tvs.
Wrap-around deck gives you a 360 degree view of the property and there is always a sunny spot to sit in. We are situated 19 km from Whangarei and close to the abundance of fantastic beaches in the area - as well as mountains, bushwalks, caving, golfing, diving, snorkeling, fishing...you name it!
If you don't feel like going out for dinner after a long day in the sun, let Ove and Anne serve you dinner on the deck or in the kitchen. You can also choose to bring food with you and use the little kitchenette ( bbq, micro, fridge).
Whatever you choose, we can guarantee you will enjoy your stay.

We are 19 km east of Whangarei In Northland - 180 km north of Auckland.
From whangarei drive towards Onerahi and Whangarei Heads, 1 km after parua Bay Tavern you turn left onto Owhiwa Road and we are exacrtly 2 km up the road to the left.
