The Swallows Nest Lodge; OPENS SEPTEMBER 2006
A magnificent lodge perched high on a hill with stunning sea views in 2 directions over The Bay of Islands and Paihia. Finished to an extremely high standard, the Lodge consists of the following accommodation;
Master bedroom with king size bed and en-suite shower room with double vanity basins. Wake to stunning sea views from your bed!
2nd bedroom with twin single beds
3rd bedroom/study with bunks or sofa bed
Family bathroom with shower, bath and twin vanity basins.
Magnificent Italian granite topped kitchen with superb appliances and massive double door fridge freezer with water and ice on demand.
Dining area with sliding doors to terrace over looking the Opua Channel
Huge Lounge area with sliding glassdoors to covered and heated swimming pool and hot spa pool, surrounded by terrace with views over Paihia to the Bay of Islands and the Waitangi Treaty grounds.
Furnished in a contemporary style (all new for Sept 2006)the lodge has laundry facilities, BBQ and out door preparation area- with that Italian Granite again!
Accessed either by stairs (by the pool) or by the main door and Lift, the Lodge commands a very impressive position high above the Village.
During your stay the Lodge will be fully serviced daily, and our "Man Friday" will be on hand to help you with anything you wish, from shopping to washing your car to helping arrange and giving advice on any trips or tours you would like to take.
The Nest is a separate 1 bedroom apartment under the main lodge with a beautiful bathroom and, yes you've guessed it, the same granite finish in the well equipped kitchen. It has sleeping for 4 and the lounge has amazing views down the Opua channel-especially good when the yacht club has a sailing day, which is most days in the Summer!
If it is luxury, comfort, convenience (plenty of parking and close to town), outstanding finishing, peace and tranquility and remember that pool in the lounge, then look no further than The Swallows Nest.

Location Description
Located at the Southeastern end of Paihia, when you enter the village from the South past Te Haumi beach (the first you will pass on arrival into Paihia, the road rises up to the left, and curves round to the right at the top of the hill. Binnie Street is on the right at the top of the rise. Drive up tBinnie Street for 100 meters and Panorama branches to the left. The Swallows nest is on the left, and well sign posted.
When arriving from the North, drive along the sea front past the main village and the road turns away from the sea up to the right. Binnie Street is at the top of the rise on the laft, go up Binnie Street for 100 meters , Panorama branches to the left, The Swallows Nest is on the left.
