Pipi Patch is the Bay's friendliest Backpackers, with cosy and clean private ensuites and share rooms just 50 metres from the beach. It's just two minutes walk to Paihia wharf, shops and cafes.

Our friendly hostel staff put on a barbeque each night and you’re welcome to join in!

Location Description
GETTING TO PIPI PATCH LODGE
Pipi Patch is just 50m from the beach and two minutes walk along the waterfront to the main wharf, shops and cafes.
Everything in Paihia is within walking distance, but if you feel like having the wind in your hair, you can use our free bikes to explore further!
DRIVING
Paihia is approximately 3-4 hours drive time north of Auckland (depending on how many stops you make). Just get onto the Northern Motorway and follow the signs north.
Finding Pipi Patch is simple; as you come down the hill into Paihia turn left into Kings Road before you get to the main wharf, and you’ll find us 50m down on the left hand side.
Look for the palm trees and the big yellow combie van!
COACH OR BUS
The bus stop in Paihia is at the wharf. From there it is a pleasant 2 minute walk to Pipi Patch along the waterfront.
BACKPACKER BUS
If you arrive by Backpacker Bus in Paihia, you will be dropped at our door! Just let the driver know you are going to Pipi Patch.
