Situated at the edge of Lake Brunner, Moana is a tiny settlement with a camping ground and a store. The TranzAlpine railway stops here. Fishing is the main attraction in the area. Lake Brunner holds excellent stocks of wild brown trout and is open all year. It can be fished in almost any weather – boats are available for hire.
